Magento Products Multi Editor is one of the great time saving Store Manager for Magento features. It allows you to perform mass changes with:
- Magento products (products’ prices, meta information, descriptions and others)
- Magento inventory (products quantity, availability - in stock, out of stock etc.)
Note: you can make batch updates only with Magento products within one attribute set (e.i. Computers, Furniture etc.)
1. Select the products you want to update. Choose Magento Product Multi Editor either on a toolbar:
or right mouse button click to call context menu: 2. In the opened Product Multi Editor window choose a store view and product attribute that should be updated. !Example: Let’s assume we want to rise the price for the three selected products by 10%.
3. Use browse button to call Expressions window.
4. Check the fields that should be updated.
5. If you need to change your data more deeply you can use expression field. In order to use this this field you need to click at [...] button. In the opened window right mouse button click on the blank area to call context menu.
6. Choose Open auto complete window and double-click Field value. As we wanted to rise the price for the three selected products by 10% type *1.1 and click Ok.
*for example, to decrease the price for the three selected products by 10% please type: [FIELD_VALUE]*0.9
7. As you see Store Manager performed the operation with 11 products in a second.
The price has changed by 10%. Note: Expressions are mathematical equations so they can be used only for numeric fields such as price, quantity etc. You should not use them for description, design etc.
You can use Store Manager for Magento Inventory Multi Editor to change quantity, stock availability, minimum and maximum quantity allowed in shopping cart, minimum quantity for items’ status to be out of stock and others:Magento inventory multi editor is similar to Product multi editor. Just select the products for mass update, choose Inventory editor (using toolbar or context menu).
Check the fields you want to update, do the updates and click Ok.
As you see, Store Manager multi editors allow to make batch updates with multiple Magento products and Magento inventory in several seconds.
